How About Them Apples
This recipe was inspired by Aunt Mikie from All Recipes. I made some slight changes to the original recipe, but these cookies are surprisingly tasty and soft! Plus they are jam-packed with lots of flavor and goodies. Mmmmm...goodies. Nuts, raisins, and apples - that's a tasty fall treat!

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Line cookie sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, sift together flour, baking soda, cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, and salt. In a large mixing bowl, cream butter until light and fluffy. Mix in sugar and egg. Stir in flour mixture, and mix thoroughly. Fold in nuts, apples, and raisins.
  3. Drop by rounded teaspoon onto prepared cookie sheets about 1 1/2 inches apart. Bake for 12 to 14 minutes. Cool on wire rack.
  4. In a small bowl, mix confectioners' sugar with milk to make a thin glaze. Drizzle over cooled cookies.
  • All purpose flour x 2 cup
  • Baking soda x 1 teaspoon
  • Ground cinnamon x 1 teaspoon
  • Ground cloves x 1 teaspoon
  • Ground nutmeg x 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt x 1/2 teaspoon
  • Softened butter x 1/2 cup
  • Brown sugar x 1 1/2 cup
  • Eggs (beaten) x 1
  • Chopped pistachios x 1 cup
  • Chopped apples x 1 cup
  • Raisins x 1 cup
  • Confectioner's Sugar x 2 33/50 cup
  • low fat milk x 1 tablespoon
