Decadent Crock-Pot Chocolate Fondue
Recipe by Amy Ledyard
Chocolate. It’s one of those things that very few people dislike, and I’m pretty sure that the chocolate lovers look on the chocolate haters with suspicion and distrust. Maybe that’s an exaggeration, but, regardless, chocolate is some good stuff. I recently hosted a fondue party, and the chocolate fondue pot was the hit dish of the night. I was expecting a larger party and was trying to make three different types of fondue, so I needed something easy, quick, and requiring only a few ingredients. What I came up with was a thick, gooey, decadent concoction that had people licking their plates. So delicious!
- Mix all the ingredients in a crockpot on low heat. Keep and eye on the chocolate and stir it every few minutes until the chocolate is melted then turn the crockpot to warm, and enjoy. We dipped marshmallows, pound cake, strawberries, bananas, and vanilla crème sandwich cookies in ours.
- **Note: this makes a huge amount of fondue; half or even quarter it if you’re not cooking for a crowd
- Semi-sweet chocolate chips x 1 1/2 pound
- Whole Milk x 2 cup
- Cinnamon x 1/2 teaspoon
- Vanilla x 1 teaspoon
