Grandma's Fresh Apple Cake
Recipe by Greg S.
How About Them Apples
I made a few adjustments to a recipe inspired by Steve Dale from All Recipes, who described the recipe as a "wonderful cake chock full of apples." I added white chocolate to it to make it a little sweeter, but you can use any other type of chocolate. Alternatively, I like adding craisins sometimes.

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour an 8x4-inch loaf pan.
  2. Sift together the flour, baking soda, cinnamon and salt. Set aside.
  3. In a medium bowl, mix together the sugar, egg, and oil. Stir in the flour mixture just until combined, and fold in the apples, nuts, and raisins.
  4. Bake for 55 to 60 minutes in the preheated oven, or until a toothpick inserted into the cake comes out clean.
  • All purpose flour x 1 cup
  • Baking soda x 1 teaspoon
  • Ground cinnamon x 1 teaspoon
  • Salt x 1/2 teaspoon
  • White Sugar x 1 cup
  • Egg x 1
  • Vegetable/Canola oil x 1/4 cup
  • Apples (chopped and peeled) x 2 cup
  • Chopped walnuts x 1/2 cup
  • white chocolate x 1/2 cup
