Vanilla Almond Latte Scones

Caffeinated Concoctions
These vanilla almond latte scones are the perfect companion to any hot coffee you get.

  1. Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper or a silicon baking sheet and preheat your oven to 400⁰F
  2. Start making the dough by combining flour, dark brown sugar, baking powder and salt using a pastry cutter to cut in the cold butter. The mixture will resemble coarse crumbs.
  3. In a separate bowl, beat together the milk, cream, instant coffee, vanilla, and eggs.
  4. Mix the egg mixture into the dry dough mixture using a fork until just combined, then add the (optional) almonds
  5. Form the dough into a 3/4” circle and (using a chilled knife) cut the circle into even wedges. Separate them on the pan. At this point you can choose to brush the tops with milk and sprinkle with raw sugar crystals.
  6. Bake the cake for approximately 10 minutes until golden brown, and set aside to cool.
  7. While the scones are baking, make the coffee glaze by mixing together the water and coffee, then adding the syrup, vanilla, and sugar one at a time
  8. Next make the White Chocolate Drizzle by mixing together the chocolate and cream over low heat in a small saucepan until you get the right consistency.
  9. When the scones have cooled, either dip them in the Coffee Glaze, or drizzle it on. Wait until the glaze sets, and then drizzle on the White Chocolate Drizzle.

  • Baking powder x 3 teaspoon
  • Salt x 1 teaspoon
  • cold butter x 1/2 cup
  • Milk x 1/4 cup
  • Heavy whipping cream x 1/4 cup
  • Instant Coffee Granules x 1/4 cup
  • Vanilla x 2 teaspoon
  • Large Eggs x 2
  • Hot Water x 3 tablespoon
  • chopped of slivered almonds x 1/4 cup
  • Milk and raw sugar (optional) x 1
  • Hot water (coffee glaze) x 3 tablespoon
  • Instant Coffee Granules (coffee glaze) x 2 tablespoon
  • powdered sugar (coffee glaze) x 2 cup
  • Vanilla extract (coffee glaze) x 2 teaspoon
  • white chocolate chips (white chocolate drizzle) x 1 cup
  • heavy whipping cream (white chocolate drizzle) x 1 tablespoon
